THE GROUP'S PROFILES
The Barbieri & Tarozzi Group from Formigine (Modena) is a
brand name which, for forty-five years, has characterised and represented a
range of products and services in the field of machinery for ceramic tile
production and advanced robotics, designed and produced to meet the wide-ranging
needs of its customers.
Today, after forty-five years of activity, the Barbieri & Tarozzi
Group testifies to its own strong presence on the world market for
complete plants and machines for the ceramics industry, reinforcing the
philosophy that it has always been defined by: the value of research in providing
the high quality of its products, because by investing in research and development
we can continue to offer new technologies, which are the driving forces behind
the growth of the Group.
The development of the Group begins in 1961 with an activity starting with the
production of machinery for handling and storage of tiles in the ceramic industry
and with time has undergone a noteworthy technological evolution, with the aim
of offering to its clients solutions to satisfy the most sophisticated requirements.
The 1999 acquisition of the Nassetti factory mark and business marks a
fundamental milestone for the growth of the Group that presents itself to
worldwide ceramics as the only complete installer, with head office in the ceramic
district of Sassuolo, capable of offering comprehensive service, from design to
execution of all the production processes, in every area of the ceramic industry.
The evolution of the Barbieri & Tarozzi Group has been
consolidated in the last ten years, during a continuous and rapid growth cycle,
marked by important investments (Research & Development Center), by
strategies for optimizing logistics and internal production (Industrial Center)
and by acquisition of new business ventures; in august 2006 SITI,
Società Impianti Termoelettrici Industriali, Marano Ticino became member
of Barbieri & Tarozzi Group.
SITI, Impianti Termoelettrici Industriali S.p.A.
SITI, Impianti Termoelettrici Industriali S.p.A., in Marano
Ticino (Novara), is one of the richest companies in the industry in terms
of its history and in terms of its technological contents and skills.
The company was founded in 1946 by Adriano Bossetti, historical character
of the industry for ability and far-sightedness, and in many years of
intense activity has reached an outstanding place with its complete
production lines on the markets all over the world.
SITI's plant engineering projects have had a determinant influence on
the industrial technology, especially in the ceramics field, with the most
modern production techniques and continuous research and development of
ever more advanced solutions.
In August 2006, after having successfully got through a period of
difficulty, SITI became member of Barbieri &
Tarozzi Group. The competences of SITI in the
supply of complete "turn-key" plants for the tiles industry and kilns
for sanitary-ware production will complete and support the activities
of B&T Group, who began its activity in 1961.
The two companies, Barbieri & Tarozzi and SITI, form a
single, large industrial organisation with the result in the creation of the
second largest plant-engineering group in the world.
